Still alt-tabbed at the horn, I walked into lane without realizing it. Jinx and Morgana were already on top of me by the time I looked back, a clean read for an easy kill or first blood on their side. That’s the unlucky half, a genuine mistake, not a bait. The lucky half is what level 1 let me do about it: Kai’Sa was already chewing through Morgana, so instead of running the mistake out I turned, Q’d, popped ignite, and autoed her down for first blood with Kai’Sa’s help. Jinx does get me back a few seconds later, off screen here, but Kai’Sa walks away with the double kill and the lane. No minions were even in yet. Getting caught doesn’t decide the trade, what you do in the next half second does, and that’s true before creeps spawn same as it is at minute twenty.
