Jinx was watching for a Neeko. She wasn't watching the minions.

A Neeko in lane is something to watch for. A caster minion isn’t, and that’s what I was: tucked into our wave as one of the casters, walking up on Jinx with no reason for her to look twice.

I pop out of the disguise with the root and Q, and the bounces through the wave carry it into her. Dodging a root that comes out of the minions is close to impossible depending on how close and how aware you are, and she wasn’t aware of me at all. She was rooted before she knew there was anything to dodge.

Then I run into the bush and send my clone toward her tower to take aggro and pull her attention. She doesn’t seem to bite, but it doesn’t matter. Jhin lands his W, the snare holds her, and he follows up with the ult from as far back as it reaches. Shut down.

This is the bread and butter: disguise, minion, snare. Nothing fancy, just a root nobody saw coming and a Jhin who knew what to do with it.
